I'm ashamed to say that I had no idea that dogs are one of the many animals being used during animal testing of beauty products until I ran across The Beagle Freedom project. Beagles are the most popular breed for lab use due to their friendly, people - pleasing personalities. If you haven't seen their video, I highly recommend watching it. I love beauty products and was afraid I would be out of pretty options to use. I'm happy to report that there are plenty of products out there that are cruelty free in a variety of price ranges. Due to an increase in consumer awareness (yay!) nationwide stores such as Target and Sephora are carrying cruelty free product lines. Making sure each product you use is cruelty free takes a little bit of time so we will be sharing with you products that make us feel pretty.
I need some help looking presentable every morning. Tarte amazonian clay 12 hour blush in Adored helps me with that. I look like I went to a relaxing morning yoga class even though all I did was walk Pixie for 10 minutes after I frantically got ready in 10. The reason why I bought this at Sephora is because it was on sale for $15, I knew Tarte is Cruelty free, and the name was so freaking cute. It was a really good impulse buy. It doesn't last 12 hours on my skin but 6 is good enough for me. As an added bonus, it doesn't break me out.
Product: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Adored

With such a vast selection of colors, I would love to know what shade blush is your favorite.
Disclaimer: I know that some of the brands that we will be writing about is owned by a company that tests on animals. I completely agree that it's horrible that some of our hard earned money will be supporting companies that are owned by a company that isn't 100% cruelty free. However, we personally want to support the brands that are widely available that started cruelty free and still is. We hope to raise awareness of all the wonderful brands out there no matter the size that are making amazing products that we love.
