The most frequentally asked question I get about Pixie is "If she's toothless, what does she eat?" I totally get why people ask me that. I was curious too when I first met Pixie at NKLA. I was told by them that she can gum wet food and her favorite was chicken. I wanted the best for her so I chose Artemis's Osopure 95% Chicken formula wet food. She seemed to love it but I started to realized that she seemed itchy pretty often. I asked google why and suggested that some dogs are sensitive to chicken. One of our lunch buddies, Lisa kindly gave Pixie some leftover salmon and Pixie loved it! So I decided to make the switch to Artemis's Osopure 95% Salmon formula. Pixie was doing the drooly happy dance. Both formulas are grain free and all natural without any food dye, color, or bleach. The best part is that it's made locally so we know exactly where it came from.
Artemis's food is plenty nutritious on it's own but I figure it never hurts to give Pixie an extra boost of healthy natural food. I use coconut oil. ground flax seed, apple cider vinegar, and I and love and you's My Tummy Hurts on rotation. Each boost has a different benefit for dogs and so far so good! Pixie is about 6 lbs so I give her a teaspoon for each one. I think that coconut day is her favorite. She jumps up and down when I bring it out for her.
Do you give your pup something extra with their dog food?
