As you may have noticed from Daisy's Birthday Post and Daisy's Birthday Donut Recipe, we go all out celebrating our daughter's birthdays. Ya I said daughters and not dogs. No dog lady shaming here. For my toothless munchkin, my Pixie Wixie, my princess Pixie, my Pchan (Japanese nickname) I made her a dog birthday milkshake. It's a perfect recipe for toothless dog gals like Pixie as well as senior dogs. It's all human ingredients so you can totally drink it too. I suggest not sharing a glass because there was a lot of drooling going on.
- 1 small container of plain yogurt
- 1 banana
- 1/4 cup of water
- 2 spoonfuls of peanut butter
- whip cream (optional)
Add water, yogurt, peanut butter, and banana into the blender and blend for about 30 seconds. Top it off with some whip cream. That's it!
The recipe makes about 1.5 glasses of the shake. Pixie was totally willing to finish the whole glass by herself. Don't worry, she didn't but she sure tried.
This tongue and face makes it so worth it to make her a special dog birthday treat. She was so incredibly happy which makes me SO happy! Gosh I love her and she knows it. The moment I put her dress on, I swear she started prancing instead of walking. Totally born to be a princess my little one. You know that annoying mom that shows you picture after picture of their kid. Well after this photo shoot I became that mom. Oops. Alright, I will shut up now.
Pixie shared her dog birthday shake with Daisy of course. It's actually pretty rare to see Daisy's tongue isn't it!? All we usually see is her white sparkly teefs.
Do you have any birthday traditions with your dog?
