Daisy had her x-rays done and I had an opportunity to fully discuss her conditions with the vet. Unfortunately, Daisy suffers from more issues than the vet initially thought. She suffers from dislocated joints in both of her elbows, right shoulder, and her back hips. Her condition is degenerative and will continue to deteriorate as she ages. I was surprised and heartbroken to hear this. Daisy is such an active girl running around in her wheels. But this news helped me feel encouraged to continue doing what I can to provide Daisy a happy, healthy life.
Since the announcement about the 3D printed prosthetic, I have received several inquiries in regards to donating for Daisy. Initially, I was hesitant to receive donations because I felt selfish and I also wanted you to receive something as a means of gratitude in return. After much thought, I have decided to set one up since the cost is more than the initial estimate. If you would like to contribute to our prosthetic fund, please click here. Words cannot express how grateful I am to receive such inquiries- thank you very much from the bottom of my heart. I have about $1500 to raise, and I am excited to move forward. Our next step is a process called 3D scanning and I will give you another update when the time comes!
