Last week, I mentioned how obsessive I am about Pixie's Dog Food. Her health is a huge priority to me especially since I know she was eating crappy food before we met. I'm always in the mindset of spoiling her for lost time. Since I have to make sure that Pixie's food is perfect for her, I'm careful where I purchase her food just because you just never know. And being that I'm all about online shopping, here are the 3 best dog food retailers in my opinion. I browse all 3 online retailers and purchase the product from the retailer who has the lowest price.
Online retailers can be harder to trust than your brick and mortar stores but I 100% trust them and use them the most. It's probably because they leave a little note in the box which gives it to the human touch. Such a nice little touch that makes a huge difference. Also, Sheena had a wonderful experience with them. She ordered a case of canned food that she found out wasn't a good fit for our dogs after she ordered. After the order arrived, she contacted chewy.com and asked them about their return policy. Instead of asking for us to return and pay for postage (which is so ugh), they said that the food was ours and that they would love it if we could donate it to a local shelter. Can you say amazing!? The moment I heard about this, I knew that I would be loyal to them. And of course, we donated to a local chihuahua rescue group who happily ate the food and we were so happy to do so. Chewy.com, please never change.
Ok, let's be real - I buy freaking everything on Amazon. I really don't remember what life was like before Amazon prime. Though not to be a downer, I do feel guilty that I use so many cardboard boxes. I hope that they are coming up with a solution for that so I can shop guilt free. Anyways, back to the point. I buy from them if it's a last minute purchase since prime delivers in 2 days. It's just so convenient given the whole 1-click purchase situation.
You might be surprised to hear that I purchase dog food from overstock.com. I feel like they are more known for their great deals on furniture and beauty products. I started shopping from them after I saw on Best Friends Animal Society's page that they were pairing up with overstock.com to help rescue homeless pets. Given that I love Best Friends Animal Society because that's where Pixie's from, I was all about overstock.com. They even have an adoptable pet section which warms my heart.
