I started watching Person of Interest on Netflix and I'm hooked. If you don't know what the show is about, here's a quick summary of what it's about from IMDB.
An ex-assassin (John Reese) and a wealthy programmer (Harold Finch) save lives via a surveillance AI that sends them the identities of civilians involved in impending crimes. However, the details of the crimes--including the civilians' roles--are left a mystery.
In one of the episodes, he is attacked and abducted by a psychopath and though he acts nonchalant about it, he's traumatized that he can no longer leave the house. John Reese gets him a highly trained ex-military dog named Bear to keep him company. With Bear's help, he's able to leave the house because he feels protected and takes great comfort in that. I loved this plot line because it's so true. I experience social anxiety as well but I'm always comforted with Daisy - in fact any dogs presence.
I love this quote because it just reminds me that most people are a little bit paranoid and it's ok.
